I found the key

Something very interesting happened tonight. Actually, things like this have been happening all my life. I am just now realizing it.

I was looking for my old cell phone because I needed a phone number for a friend that apparently wasn’t in my new cell phone.I looked on my desk, in my desk, under my desk and I even went downstairs to look in my car. As you can tell,I was determined to find that cell phone because it contained something of importance to me.

In any event, while I was looking around in my car, I looked in the compartment underneath the arm rest in between the two front seats, and moved some junk around only to see something I never saw there before. When I picked it up and took a look at it, it was the infrared remote/key for my car!

Now,some time ago I was planning on calling the car dealer to purchase this device, because I didn’t think I had it.I was using a spare master key all along. However, after a while,I didn’t concern myself any longer with buying the key and now, while looking for something else, I find the key in my car.

The Bible says, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but the Lord directs his steps.” My plan was to find that cell phone, but my steps were directed right to that key. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all [the things you desire] will be given to you as well.” I couldn’t help but think about the Kingdom of God taking the place of that cell phone that I was looking for; to be so determined to find it. If we continue to spend our time looking for this Kingdom of God, what else that we desire in our hearts will God not give to us?
